Save the Bees - Project Website

Introduction:

In order for our project to reach a larger audience I seek to package the whole project on a platform that will allow it to be experienced and delivered to a wide range of people. By creating a website for the project we can display; the prototyping stages of the game, branding and information behind our project as we understand that not everyone will have access to a virtual reality headset to experience the Save the Bees game.

WordPress:

I have started by registering a new domain 'beeware.online' and setup the domain on my personal WordPress hosting to allow me to have full functionality over the way the website looks.

Contents:

The contents of the website will seek to answer any questions regarding the project; including;

• What is the project?
• What is the problem?
• How does the project help to solve the problem?

I will

Interactivity:
As not many people have access to a virtual reality headset, I wanted to make the website interactive and relate to the topic of the game somewhat, as a result I have included used Javascript to create interactive bees that will 'fly around' on the screen, if these bees are hovered over they will die, which gives the view the impression that they are the ones killing the bees, this is done on person to entice the person to help save the bees as we are the cause of their deaths!

Website 11.02.18:

As you can see from the screenshot below, once the user hovers over the bees, they will fall to the bottom of the page, implying that you killed them. 

Update 10.04.2018:

Since last working on the website, a lot of content has been created

About Page:

A detailed about page containing the aims of the project and everything there you need to know to inform our audience.

Causes Page:

The causes page contains information about the causes for the decline in the bee population for those that are interested!

Team Page:

This page gives the user some background on the team behind the whole project!

Contact Page:

This page is for all of those who want to contact us, I created a contact form as well as some graphics to go along side to make it clearer.

Donate Page:

The final page created was the donation page in which we incorporated our mascot, this page is for all those who appreciate the work we have done on this project and would like to show some gratitude.
